My case was a tragic one. I was involved in an accident with a motor cyclist who sadly died. It was broad daylight, I was not on my mobile phone, I was not speeding neither had I been drinking. I remember looking left and right, but whether it was the glare of the sun or the windscreen pillar or the distraction of the kids in my car regrettably I simply did not see him.

I was charged with causing death by dangerous driving which carries a custodial sentence according to the sentencing guidelines.
